The trip to my hometown Samawah in 2003 was a
unforgettable journey. During the warm gesture and the beautiful rituals I caught sight of the service ritual of Arabic coffee "Qahwe" which is served in a "dallah" in small espresso cups. There are very specific rituals how to serve such a cup and not least how to receive the cup. My first cup was not immediately what fell into
my taste. But the smell, the serving ritual and the whole experience captured my senses, and my interest in coffee was born.
Exploring coffee
Curiosity
Over time, my curiosity for coffee grew and I began to explore the countless varieties of coffee. My love for coffee gradually grew, and my curiosity led me to invest in my own coffee equipment. My first coffee equipment consisted of a simple plunger pot, and later I got a moka pot from my brother. These became my first steps into immersing myself in the world of coffee at home.
Never say no to challenges
Unknown destination
I got a job in a home appliance store, which was a crucial phase in my journey. Here I was introduced to a wide range of brewing methods and different coffee machines, which opened my eyes to even more facets of the coffee universe. My experience grew and my understanding of coffee deepened.
My passion for coffee began to shape my choices of coffee machines and types of coffee. I always made sure to have a varied selection of coffees ready for my guests, to show the diversity of coffee. It was not only about the taste, but also about sharing my passion and knowledge of the many possibilities of coffee.
From passion to mesion
This passion was contagious, and over time I managed to draw many from my circle of friends into the wonderful world of coffee. Through invitations to experience different coffee types and brewing methods, I managed to share my passion and joy for coffee with those around me.
For me, coffee is more than just a beverage. It is a fascination – a history, science and technology folded into an everyday pleasure. The world of coffee has not only added flavor to my life, but also a deeper understanding and a constant source of joy for the morning ritual in my home.
